Wildly Growing Daisies

wildly growing daisies

I meet you as one meets a bunch of wildly growing daisies,

suddenly,
round the corner of a forgotten lane

growing by the sidewalk,
gladly blooming without a care.

waylaid by those warm yellows and whites,
I was caught in a messy arrangement of grace.
falling for that chaos that lies coyly, underneath your painted face...

I meet you as one meets a bunch of wildly growing daisies,

and for a moment,
it does make me stop and stare

Oh! If I may ask...
If I may dare...

Please tell me how do you float about,
without a care...

Is it the wind that carries you around and forth?
or, a heart that wanders- restless and bored.

What storms hide beneath that smile?
if only one asks those quivering eyes.

Oh! if I may ask...
if I may be sincere...

Fragrant and gentle,
wild and free,
is that how you know, to be?
like these wildly growing daisies...

dancing around
as sunlight shimmers through you,

in you I see nature and in nature, you...

whenever I meet you within these wildly growing daisies."
